Once again, we are very excited to announce that Saint Xavier High School will be hosting the annual Coach Cooper/Brother Borgia Track and Field Memorial Invitational for high school boys and girls. We've enjoyed outstanding competition in years past and look to make this year even better.
All entries must be submitted via athletic.net by Tuesday, April 25, 2026 at 8:00pm. Please direct any entry issues to sarrettl@aol.com and sarrettl@gmail.com.
Entry fees: $150 for boys teams and $150 for girls teams. Individuals will be $10 each per event, $30 for relays. Teams may enter a B team, as they need. Fees are based on online entries, not actual participation.
Make checks payable to Saint Xavier High School. Entry fees need to be mailed by April 19. Please bring your check if not mailed by this date.

Entries per event: two individuals and one relay per school, unless all athletes meet Extra Entry Qualifying Standards in certain events.
Extra Entry Qualifying Standards -
Ex: Teams entering 2 or more athletes in the Automatic Qualifier Division, should NOT also enter the Varsity Division in that event. Any additional athletes that do not meet the standard will be removed. All athletes should meet the standard if you are entering extra athletes.
Ticketing: All spectators entering our complex will need to purchase a ticket online.

Entry: Track opens to teams at 7:30am. TEAMS MAY NOT ENTER THE COMPLEX BEFORE 7:30am.
The track will open to spectators at 7:30am as well.
Packet Pickup: Packets can be picked up upon entry at the Tiger Statue in the main stadium entrance.
Coaches meeting: 8:15am at the Finish line.
All running events are timed finals. We will follow NFHS and KHSAA rules. Shot, Discus, Long Jump, High Jump, and Triple Jump will have 3 attempts and send 9 to the finals. We will score 8 places.

4x800 meter relay
unified 2x50 meter relay
100 hurdles
110 hurdles
100 meter dash
4x200 meter relay
1 mile
unified 4x100 meter relay
4x100 meter relay
unified 2x200 meter relay
400 meter dash
300 meter hurdles
800 meter run
200 meter dash
2 mile
4x400 meter relay
Order of field events (beginning at 9:00am):
Unified Shot will be competed at 8:30am
Unified Long Jump will be competed at 8:30am in the boys pit nearest the scoreboard
Boys Discus / Girls Shot followed by Boys Shot and Girls Discus
Girls High Jump followed by Boys High Jump
Boys Pole Vault followed by Girls Pole Vault
Boys Long Jump / Girls Long Jump followed by Boys Triple Jump and Girls Triple Jump
Boys Long and Triple Jump will be contested in the pit by the scoreboard
Girls Long and Triple Jump will be contested in the pit by the school.
Awards: Custom Medals will be awarded to 1st through 3rd places. Ribbon are awarded for 4th through 8th places.
Once results are final, 1st-8th place athletes will be called to receive awards on the podium. The podium will be located on the football field. Please listen for announcements.
Teams will be awarded trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Uniform rules: Athletes will be held accountable to the uniform rules as directed by the KHSAA and NFHS.
The Facility: The Coach Frank Cooper Track Facility is an 8 lane rubber track, with two jump pits, one pole vault pit, and one high jump mat. A facility map will be provided in online meet information.
Tents / Warm-up area: Team tents will be allowed on the baseball field located to the right as guests enter through the main entrance gate. This field can also be used for warm-ups and drills.
Clerking / Staging: Athletes in running events must report to the check in area at first call. All athletes will be scanned in electronically and each event will be seeded by the clerks. Should a competitor miss the third and final call, he or she will be scratched. The check-in process allows us to have competitive heats with full lanes.
Entering/Exiting the track: Athletes should only enter the track through the gate at the 100m start line. Athletes should never attempt to enter at the finish line gate. The finish line gate is for athletes that are exiting the track.
Hospitality: Hospitality will provide breakfast items and lunch for all coaches in the school faculty dining room.
Coaches will be allotted wristbands for use of the hospitality room and tent/warm-up area. Wristbands will be distributed at packet pickup.
Breakfast items will be available from 9-11am.
Lunch will be available from 11am-2:30pm.
The faculty dining room is located in the school building. Coaches can exit the track through the gate near the 100/110 start-line.. The faculty dining room is located on the opposite side of the school traffic circle.

Meet Records: The Brother Borgia/Coach Cooper Invitational has attracted many of the top athletes in the Kentucky/Indiana Area over the years. The record boards are evidence of many exceptional performances of past athletes! Performances highlighted in yellow were broken in 2024. The record boards also show Individual & Team Champions of the past 15 years.
