Meet Information
For the first time in school history, Washington County is proud to host the 1st Annual Sorghum City Track & Field Classic at our brand-new Washington County Athletic Complex!
Athletes will compete on a state-of-the-art 8-lane rubberized track, with two sand pits dedicated to Long Jump and Triple Jump, a shot put and discus ring, and fully equipped high jump and pole vault areas.
This premier facility sets the stage for an unforgettable night of competition and marks a major milestone for Washington County Track & Field.

Meet Timeline: ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN
4:30pm - Gate Opens / Athletes arrive
4:45pm - Track Open for Warm-Ups/Coaches Meeting
5:15pm - First Call - Field Events
5:30pm - Field Events Start/Track Closed for Warm-Ups. First Call - Track Events
(Only clerking, or competing, athletes will be allowed on the field. This is for safety discuss will be going on during this time)
5:45pm - Track Events Start (4x800m Girls&Boys)
Call schedule must be strictly adhered to.
Athletes that miss the call will not be written into the event.
Long and Triple Jumps, High Jump, Discus, and Shot Put will need to be staffed with volunteer coaches or qualified parents (admission will be free for any parent volunteer).
No Finals for throwing events. Each Thrower will be allotted 3 throws.
Events will be scored 10-8-6-4-2-1
We will offer Unified events (2x50m, shot put and long jump)
Please have all your Entries in by March 27th, 2026 at midnight
Awards:
Medals/Ribbons for 1st-3rd Place
No tents in the bleachers
Rules:
Vulgarity will not be tolerated.
No electronics on the track or out in any competitive area. Coaches can film away from the competition area.
No food on the track and or field this included the mini turf field.
Please keep your area tidy and clean up after yourselves.
