A final opportunity to get a personal best time on a fast course. We will do scoring three ways for each event -1) school team scoring, 2) overall (schools and clubs), 3)All-stars by county**
This is a wonderful old golf course facility just outside of Lexington (Nicholasville,KY) that the city purchased as a greenspace and we hope to continue showing them the value of our sport to this greenspace.

Meet director - Jim Kaiser 859-492-9990 cell/text or email jimkaiser@mindspring.com
This meet provides 3 possibilities:
- It gives runners a
chance to race the shorter distance that they most likely raced in the
first meet or two of the season and it would be positive for them to see
how much they've improved at those distances with the work they've put in. - It gives the elite
athletes the opportunity to meet and compete with other elite runners as a
teammate for their entire COUNTY All-Star team....but at a shorter distance
since they've already put in a few longer, mentally tough races in the
past couple weeks. This is more of a celebration for them to just enjoy. - It gives coaches a
chance to offer a final opportunity to the athletes that couldn't attend
the state championship OR had a bad experience (cramps, bad race) at the
state meet and would like another chance to end the season on a positive
note.
THIS MEET WILL BE A RUNNER AND SPECTATOR DREAM. An All-Star meet for literally every runner... but also a chance to run a big personal best.
1- Parking is at most a 2 min walk to start/finish! Coaches can park & unload right next to their team area.
2- FAST and FLAT but scenic for the 1600, 2K, 3K, 4K (NO HILLS). The 5K is mostly FAST and has only 2 moderate hills.
3- With minimal movement, spectators would have the athletes run past them SIX TIMES during the 2K, EIGHT TIMES during the 3K, and TEN or more times during the 4K/5K. OR from an elevated viewing spot, you could stay in one place and watch the entire race except maybe 1 or 2 minutes. Bring binoculars and you'd feel like you are right next to them the entire way!
4- An award for every finisher. Medals to top 20....but simply complete the race as an Ultimate Superstar and receive an award.
5- The honor and excitement of being part of an "All-Star team" whether you are already coming with a team OR coming as an individual. Every runner entering this meet is automatically a part of their County All-Star team and if your County wins, you win too. Each member (not just the top 5 or 7) will receive a piece of the County "trophy".
For many young athletes, the season didn't really get started until mid-to-late September on the first day of school. With the KTCCCA Championships happening in mid-October, this Late Season Championship is conducted with the purpose of letting athletes see where they stand after 2 full months+ of season training.
