LINCOLN TRAIL HEARTLAND CONFERENCE MEET
TEAMS: C. Hardin, Elizabethtown, Ft. Knox, J. Hardin, Meade County, N. Hardin, NH Christian, Breck County
DATE: Thursday, September 28
COURSE: The race will be held at Brandenburg Telephone Company. Mr. Tobin, the owner, has been gracious enough to let us use his land again for the race. The course is relatively flat. Each year the course seems to improve and the faster times show that, as long as it does not flood the entire course as in 2009.
AWARDS: We will be giving out awards to 1st team and 2nd team all conference. Runners placing 1st-7th will be considered 1st team all-conference, and runners placing 8th-14th will be considered 2nd team all-conference. The perpetual Team Trophies will behanded out to the winners and they will keep it for the year.
DIRECTIONS: Coming into Brandenburg from the south on Hwy.448, you will simply go straight. After you pass the Kroger Shopping Center, go through 4 lights, and you will see Brandenburg Telephone Company on the left. Drop the runners off at the phone company and park the buses across the street at the Fairgrounds.
PARTICIPANTS: Since we are only having Varsity races, you may enter unlimited runners. I know we are getting close to Region time, and we all need to finalize our top 7. Please only enter 1 team per race.
TIME SCHEDULE:
5:45 P.M. Boys Varsity Race
6:10 P.M. Girls Varsity Race
The boys will start promptly at 5:45. Due to darkness, the girls will start as soon as we can get them going, obviously based on when the last boy finishes. Have your girls ready to go so we can beat the darkness.
Results and awards will be given after the completion of the girls race.
FEES: $25 per school. That is $25 for the boys and girls teams combined.
DEADLINE: I am using the KYTrackXC online registration process for this meet now. You can enter your unlimited kids anytime up until September 24. That gives me 3 days to get everything ready.
