Louisville, KY- The Greater Louisville Sports Commission (GLSC) will host over 75 colleges and universities from 16 states in the 8th Annual Greater Louisville Classic (GLC), which local collegiate historians state will be the largest college meet contested in the south- EVER. The Classic, run this Saturday October 3rd, will bring together some of the top college cross country programs in the nation, as over 1,400 athletes are expected to compete at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
The Western Kentucky University women's cross country team picked up a number eight ranking in this week's United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Regional rankings.

The Kentucky cross country teams travel to the Derby City to compete in the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET with the men's 8K run followed by the women's 5K race at 10:15 a.m.at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park; admission is free.
Ole Miss junior Barnabas Kirui turned in a third place finish with a time of 23:52.42 in the 8k race Saturday morning at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic to highlight competition for the Rebel men's team.
