Chick-fil-A Invitational 2023

Friday, April 28th

First Round Field Events - 5:45 PM first call. 4 attempts no finals. Flight 1 will start at 6:00, Flight 2 immediately after the conclusion of Flight 1.

Second Round Field Events - 7:45 first call. Begin at 8:00 PM. Flight 2 will begin immediately after the conclusion of Flight 1.

Running Events - first call for the 4x800 at 6:00. Rolling schedule beginning at 6:15 PM.

• All events will be clerked at the Blue Tent behind the 110 meter starting line.

Team Logistics - Pass this along to parents please!

• Team Check-in will be at the admission gate. Please leave payment with them if it wasn't mailed.
• Team camps should be in the grass on the hill overlooking the 100m starting line. Team camps can also be located on the outside edge of the track in the areas past the high jump. NO tents directly behind the high jump. No team camps in the bleacheres.
• Coaches may be on the infield. Athletes not competing in field events should remain outside of the track.
• Buses should drop off in front of the track and then drive to West Jessamine High School to park (2100 Wilmore Road).
• Spectator parking in the lots at West Jessamine Middle School and Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary school
• Cars can park along the bus loop on the OUTSIDE edge.
• Additional parking in the grass field between the two schools. Park at your own discretion.

Athletic Trainer

• Will be located past the finish line. Please bring your own supplies (tape, wrap, etc). 

Awards

• Medals for the top 3 places in each event
• Trophies for the Top 2 teams per gender
• High Point award for top boy and girl performer
• Team Awards packets can be picked up at the concession stand at the conclusion of the meet
• Team trophies and Top Point awards will be presented after the meet concludes.

Special Events

• We will contest all track events in the normal NFHS order.
• 2x50 relay will be immediately after the boys 100m dash.
• Throwers Relay (mixed) will be after the Boys 4x100
• 2x200 Relay (mixed) will be after the Throwers Relay

Concessions 

• Full concessions including Chick-fil-A sandwiches (while supplies last) and Papa John's Pizza
• Each team will receive two meal tickets (for either one Chick-fil-A Sandwich or two clices of pizza, and chips plus drink). Two meal tickets will be included in each team packet (boys head coach, girls head coach).

T-shirts

• Fine Designs will be on site printing t-shirts

Other Details

The track was just resurfaced in the Summer of 2022, and we have brand new runways and sand pits with take-off boards embedded in the runways. 

Entry Fees - $75 per team ($150 per school). 

• Entry fees are payable to West Jessamine Track & Field Boosters
• Checks can be hand delivered the day of the meet.
• Early entry bonus - if your check is received by April 9th then the entry fee will be reduced to $60 per gender ($120 per school).

Entries

• Two athletes and one relay per event. All events will be seeded by the performance list. You may substitute an athlete on the day of the meet, but that athlete will go to the back of the field with a NT.

Timing

• We will have fully automatic timing at all of our home meets.
