Live Results for GRC Heavy Metal Throwdown
Please consider attending the Annual GRC Heavy Metal Throwdown. This event was originally contested in 2008 and has been contested annually (exception of Covid and other issues) since that date. Our meet has grown to one of the nicest Meets in the State. This years event will be contested on our newly completed Athletic Campus which we believe to be one of the finest in the State. We will be limiting entries to remain compliant with KHSAA Covid restrictions. At this time we have space for teams.
The meet will contest the regular Track and Field events plus Turbo Jav and the throwers relay. The throwers relay will be non-scoring and will be used to break any tie for the top throwers awards.
elementary races will be limited to a few events ( please see meet registration page) but middle and high school have all events. Any athlete may compete in up to 4 events. You may enter an A and a B team but B team runners and A team runners must run all of their events on either the A or the B team. The meet will be contested at George Rogers Clark High School on New Boonesboro Road in Winchester. The gate will open at 9am with the first race starting at 10am. The meet will operate on a rolling schedule.
Cost is $100 per team with boys and girls being separate teams. Individual per runner cost is $12 per runner.
We will be charging admission. That information will be emailed to the coaches. Additionally meet t-shirts will be available for purchase on line for those that preorder and prepay. Buses may unload at the track. All others must park at the parking lots around the High School.
