Due to COVID recommendations, teams and athletes need to bring their own water for pre-and post-race hydration.
We will be using chip timing without a finish chute to avoid as much contact as possible. Team packets will include bibs with chips on them as well as pins. All bibs, including ones not used, must be put back in the packet and turned in to the finish trailer before leaving the Archives. You will be billed $10.00 for each bib not returned.
The State Library and Archives is the site of the Vietnam War Memorial to Kentucky soldiers who died in Vietnam. We ask your athletes and fans to respect that memorial as well as keeping them out of the State Library and Archives. That is one condition for our continued use of the facility. Porta-toilets will be located to the rear of the Archives this year. Please note that we have a new agreement with the Kentucky Division of State Properties concerning parking. In order to make things safer as well as accommodating visitors to the Vietnam Memorial, there is no parking allowed in the Memorial parking lot. Cars and busses will be parked in behind the Archives. Overflow will be in the fields along Coffeetree Road. NOTE NOT RIGHT ALONG THE ROAD. Please inform parents we will have parking in a large field on the left as they come up Coffeetree Road. In the past many have parked along the road and as a result, late comers saw the cars on the side and they decided to park out on Route 676 when there was plenty of room in our parking areas. We will send out maps detailing parking as the event nears.
