42nd ANNUAL
MARSHALL COUNTY CROSS-COUNTRY INVITATIONAL
WHEN: Saturday, September 26, 2020
WHERE: Marshall County High School Campus, located one mile off Exit 47 of the Purchase Parkway on Hwy 68 in Draffenville, KY. This beautiful course is spectator friendly and has been home of the Region I meet for all classes on an alternating basis.
WHO: This meets draws some of the best in state and out of state teams.
MEET SCHEDULE:
((Our meet schedule is not accurate for this year---we will be updating this as soon as we determine our format for running the races. We will be using wave starts of about 5 teams at a time. I will post updated info as we get it determined.))
8:30 AM Coaches meeting (at the Finish Line)
9:00 AM Elementary School Race 1 mile (grades K-5)
9:30 AM Girls Varsity 5000 meters
10:15 AM Boys Varsity 5000 meters
Awards for the varsity races will be given out as soon as scores are computed to enable some teams to be able to get back on the road towards home sooner.
11:00 AM Girls Middle 4000 meters (grades 6 8)
11:30 AM Boys Middle 4000 meters (grades 6 8)
12:00 PM Awards Presentation at the Finish Line

SCORING:
The varsity races will be scored using Hy-Tek software. Runners will be assigned numbers and the numbers MUST be placed on the front of the jersey. The numbers will contain a barcode which will be scanned into the computer upon finishing. THIS YEAR WE WILL BE USING CHIP TIMING AND WAVE STARTS THAT ALLOW US TO NOT HAVE TO HAVE ATHLETES GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE CHUTE. WE WILL PASS ON MORE INFO ON THIS LATER.
AWARDS: WE WILL BE DOING INDIVIDUAL AWARDS THIS YEAR BUT NO TEAM AWARDS IN ORDER TO FACILITATE QUICK EXIT FROM THE FACILITIES.
