Hillbilly Run Cross Country Invitational
When: Saturday, September 26th, 2020
Where: Generals XC Course at Thomas Nelson High School, 2885 New Shepherdsville Road (Hwy 245), Bardstown KY 40004
Due to COVID restrictions, this meet will be INVITE ONLY with LIMITED TEAM ENTRIES. Spots will be filled FIRST-COME, FIRST SERVED, and entries will be CLOSED when spots are filled. Email dan.bradley@nelson.kyschools.us for the password.
Additionally, we are MOVING ELEMENTARY and MIDDLE SCHOOL RACES to the evening of FRIDAY, SEPT. 25, and JUNIOR VARSITY and VARSITY RACES will remain on SAT, SEPT. 26. Races will be separated by additional time for spectators and athletes to leave after events.
School can have no more than 10 athletes per race, and additional school teams per race (B teams, etc.) cannot be entered this year. There will be NO open race this year. We are sorry and hope to get back to that and full unlimited entries for 2021. Furthermore, we must LIMIT SPECTATORS to 2 per participant, and masks are required where 6-feet social distancing cannot be maintained. We ask and expect participating coaches to enforce these safety measures.
ALL EVENTS WILL BE LIVE-STREAMED IN AN EFFORT TO REDUCE ON-SITE SPECTATORS. COACHES, PLEASE ASK YOUR ATHLETES' PARENTS TO COME ONLY IF THEY ARE PROVIDING RIDES.
LIVE RESULTS will be posted online, individual awards will be given in the chute, and coaches will be called to the press box to pick up team awards. THERE WILL BE NO AWARD CEREMONY this year.

Shooo dawgies! Cmon out to the 22nd Annual Hillbilly Run! Were dad gum guaranteein a good time for you and your people. It aint like no reglar race. We do things a bit difrent in these parts. Miss this meet and yer teams liable to be ornerier than a pack of ring-tailed wampus cats!
We r speshally excited to be hostin any school that's ever come to the Hillybilly Run in our 22 year histry and we want to see ya there! This is a big dal fer us to be havin this meet fer so long and if you ever come to it ever ever we want to see you there so's we can tell ya how special ya are to us down to the bottom of our gullets.
We'll be running again on the awesome course at Thomas Nelson. It features free, close parking for both buses and cars, indoor restrooms, hot sandwiches and cold drinks at the concession stand, the famous Hillbilly Run Ts, and a great competitive course with the most exciting stadium finish you'll ever see at a XC race! Plenty of room in the chute for recovering athletes, and everyone can see great! Our athletes, spectators, and coaches all love it! And we keep all your favorite Hillbilly Run traditions (cannon, hillbilly rabbit, music, etc.) intact!

4:00 PM Course opens for warm-ups & walks
Races will be done in waves beginning at 5:00 PM. Please consult the wave schedule released via email by DC Timing for your start times.
SATURDAY, SEPT 26
7:15 AM Course opens for warmups
Races will be done in waves beginning at 8:00 AM. Please consult the wave schedule released via emial by DC Timing for your start times.
Awards: CUSTOM Medals go to the top 10 individuals in each race, with CUSTOM trophies to team champions and runners-up of each race. Saa-aa-aaa-lute!
Registration: Deadline is 11:59 pm Wednesday, September 23. Entry will be done online at ky.milesplit.com. Please drop me a quick note of the teams yer bringin sos I can plan fer ya. Preshadit.
