Meet Information

This meet is open to any middle school (grades 8 and under). The entry fee for each team is $50. One check may be issued in the amount of $100 for both teams (boys and girls together). Individuals can enter for $15. Any fees not paid on/before meet day will be charged a $20 collection fee. Interested teams/coaches, please initiate registration on http://EasternMS.milesplit.com to be included in futurecorrespondence. We will accept entries until Tuesday, March 13th unless the meet reaches capacity before that.

Each athlete is limited to a maximum of 4 events. We will include 2 open events (100m and 800m) where you can enter all of your extra or JV athletes. These events are unlimited entries so you can enter any developmental athletes. For all remaining events, teams are limited to 2 entries for each individual event and one relay team for each relay event. Schools may enter a B team in the meet for an additional team entry fee. Events will not be broken up by grade. All ages will run together.

Order of events

  • Coaches Meeting: 9:00am
  • Field events and running events will begin at 9:30am
  • 4x800m Relay
  • 100m hurdles (same hurdle marks as MS state meet)
  • 100m /Open 100m (only the first 4 sections based on entry time will use blocks)
  • 1600m
  • 4x100m
  • 400m
  • 300m hurdles
  • 800m / Open 800m, unlimited entries, non-scoring
  • 200m
  • 4x400m

Field events: Open pit (boys and girls) Long jump followed by Open pit (boys and girls) Triple Jump, High Jump (girls followed by boys), Boys- Shot Put followed by Discus, Girls- Discus followed by Shot Put, TurboJav run concurrently

Admission will be charged to all spectators: $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children 5 and older. Concessions will be available.



Awards:
Medals will be given to the top 3 places in each event and ribbons to places 4-6. There will also be 1st and 2nd place team trophies.

Entries will be submitted electronically via milesplit.

Competitor numbers will be assigned and emailed to coaches prior to the meet. They will also be available in the packets handed out at the coaches meeting. Every athlete, including open entries must be entered in milesplit. Any teams adding athletes to the roster on meet day will be charged $10/athlete (in addition to the entry fee) but this convenience will only be allowed on a small scale. We will not allow entire teams or large groups of athletes to enter on meet day.

Coaches and participating athletes should be aware that our track is in some disrepair.  We always work to provide a great competitive environment but don't want any participants surprised to see that there are some cracks in the rubber surface on our track.
