Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational 2012

Louisville, KY

Meet Information

First Please inform your fans that we have got the park not to charge for parking. However, there will be a charge of $5 per person at the gate. We were also able to persuade the park that on Friday only, following the CSAA lead, families can get in for $10. Kids 8 and under both days are free of charge. Please let all of those supporting your team of the charge. We will also be directing parking this year so that we can utilize the parking fields near the start line. All coaches will be signing a sportsmanship form which will have an additional line that stating, I have informed parents and fans of the $5.00 admission charge. Athletes will wear bibs with chips on the chest, pinned with only two pins at the top of the bib. I will keep non-competing athletes with bibs away from the finish line scanners.
Second Registration and race information this year is in the pavilion by the playground. We will also post results there as well as having results displayed on a large flat screen television. Awards will be in the field by the stage at the finish.

Fourth The chips are on the back of the bib at the lower portion of the bib and it is crucial the following guidelines are followed to insure your athletes correct placement in the race. Use only two pins at the top of the bib. Do not bring a bib near the finish line. Do NOT allow athletes who are spectators with bibs to move near the finish line. Only runners competing should cross the finish with a bib. Once they do their bib will be calculated in the results. Instruct your athletes to deposit their chip by tearing the bottom portion of their bib as they leave the finish chute. There are also two arches at the finish. The first arch is the actual finish and it is the one that will read the chip. The second arch is decorative and a false one to keep our athletes racing through the finish line. Athletes are asked to proceed through the finish area as quickly as possible.

Fifth There will be a coaches meeting at 4:25 pm on Friday for elementary, grade school races. And 8:25 am on Saturday for the high school races. Meeting will be held near the finish line behind the stage.

Sixth -All athletes are asked to report to the clerk of the course 15 minutes prior to their race. Those reporting late will not be permitted to race.

Seventh - All athletes may wear watches. We will also have a clock on the gator and clocks at the mile and two mile for the 5K races.
