Louisville, KY- The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) will host 115 colleges and universities from 24 states in the 11th Annual Greater Louisville Classic (GLC), which for the first time in the 11 year history should be the largest college meet contested in the United States in 2012.
Exceeding expectations is nothing new to Liz Anderson. For the junior cross country runner and her team, the expectations have never been higher. The season has only just begun, but the Commodores are already making headlines, thanks primarily to their remarkable success last fall.
The Greater Louisville Classic is held on the same course as the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational, but they are two totally different meets each year. Trinity/Valkyrie brings an intense team battle that is more regionally based (KY, IN, OH) with most of the top Louisville schools in attendance, whereas Greater Louisville brings in more depth from throughout the state of Kentucky giving teams from the far west (Paducah area) a chance to compete against teams from the north and areas right outside of Louisville.
