The Rumble Through the Jungle has quickly over the last few seasons developed into one of the largest meets in Kentucky and this year's version is no different. This year's theme is #1 Showdown, for teams and individuals.
The Varsity Girls race is headlined by Gabby Karas. Just an 8th grader, but already a state XC champion opened last week with an 18:35 crushing the competition. This week she will look to do the same, but she will be challenged by 3-time Class A champ Maddox Patterson from Sayre. Patterson opened up her season with the top time in Class A at Tiger Run with a 19:28. She will need to get back in the sub 19 range to win this year after winning last year at Rumble with an 18:54.
