Cooper senior Paul Van Laningham finished 5th this morning in the Brooks South Championship in North Carolina. His finish qualified him for Brooks XC Championship at the legendary Balboa Park in San Diego on December 13th. This is the third straight year for Kentucky to have a national qualifier after Riku Sugie made it in both 2023 and 2024.
Last week, Van Laningham finished 3rd at NXN SE to qualify for Nike Cross Nationals in Portland on December 6th. This will be his second trip to NXN after qualifying last year.
