Connor Sheryak is a junior at St. Xavier High School in Louisville. He is ranked #2 in Class AAA in the last KYtrackXC.com Top 20. His and his Tiger teammates are currently ranked #1 as a team in Class AAA. Last week at the Great American Cross Country Festival in North Carolina he finished 7th overall with a new best time of 15:29.
KY: In your first two years of high school you have enjoyed the highs and lows at state (09 champs, 10 runner-up after being the favorite). How did both of those experiences affect you as a runner today?
CS: Winning state as a team my freshman year was one of the best experiences of my life, and I can only imagine how it felt for the guys who had worked four years to get there.
