Today at Veteran’s Park in Lexington Kentucky Tates Creek High School hosted their annual invitational. This meet could not have had better running weather as it was mid 60s to start the morning, rising slowly in a clear sky to low 80s by the start of the middle school races. For the high school races there were runners representing ten different teams.
First for the morning was the Girls’ JV race which won by Leanne Dobias from Tates Creek in a time of 21:47. Dobias led out in a 6:37 mile followed close behind by two of her teammates (Anderson and C. Dobias, both respectively in 6:43 and 6:45 at the mile). L. Dobias pulled further away from her teammates in the last mile to pull of the win by a considerable margin, her two teammates followed closely behind in 22:01 and 22:51 respectively (Anderson, C. Dobias). The top five was finished out by Montague of Lexington Catholic in 23:41 and Buckner of Tates Creek in 23:50. For the team title Tates Creek took first with 1...
