Stewart, a senior at North Hardin has committed to run at the University of Louisville next year.  He has very impressive range with the ability to run a 50 second flat 400m Dash and a 15:51 5K.  His specialty is the 800m Run where he was third with a 1:53.69 at the 2010 Class AAA Kentucky State Track Meet.  His time ranks him 7th All-time in Kentucky. 

 

When asked why he chose the University of Louisville he said, “I did a lot of praying about my decision.  The scholarship opportunities at Louisville were really attractive to me along with the coaching staff and the small school atmosphere.  I think God helped lead me to Louisville.”

 

He was the the USATF 1500m National Champion in 2009 with a time of 4:05.  This past fall he finished 5th overall at the Class AAA Kentucky State Cross Country Meet.  He opened his senior track season with a victory in the 800m Run in 1:56 at the Arkansas HS Invitational and followed that up one week later with a victory in the One Mile Run at the Wildcat Classic with a 4:22.
