KY Boys Performance of the Week (9/23 - 9/29)
On a rainy weekend in Kentuckiana, our athletes braved the awful weather and delivered fantastic races. We also had some marquee weekday races to fill the week with excellent results. From Tuesday's CKC Championships to Saturday's Hillbilly Run, here are the top performances from around the state.
On the boys side, our first nominee is Xavier Richardson of Lafayette. The Junior won the CKC Championship in a time of 16:14. This was Richardson's first win of the season as he looks to lead Lafayette to a State podium come November.
Our second nominee is James Gurley of Louisville Collegiate for his effort at the Hillbilly Run. The Junior was victorious, running 16:18 defeating Eli Oetken, Drew Koon, and Daniel Filiatreau (3 of the top 25 runners in the State this season).
Our third nominee is Xander Harris of North Laurel. The Senior won the Apple Festival Cross Country Invitational on Saturday with a time of 17:16. This was Harris's first win of the season.
Our fourth nominee is Jonathan Christopher of Campbell County. The Senior defeated his teammate Grant Holbrook en route to his second victory of the season with a time of 17:24.
