KY Girls Perfomance of the Week (9/16 - 9/21)
The first athlete nominated is Morgan Kobylinski of Ohio County. Kobylinski finished 3rd place at the Trinity Valkyrie Invitational running an incredible 17:57.73. This time is the fastest in the State this season and Kobylinski was the first KY finisher.
The second athlete nominated is Caroline Beiting of Lexington Catholic. Beiting finished in 4th place at Trinity Valkyrie running 18:03.25. This is the fastest time in Class 2A this season.
The third athlete nominated for the performance of the week, and being nominated for a third consecutive week, is Isabella Day or Larue County. Day defeated Shelby Lamb (the first runner of the week winner) at the Berea Community Invitational on Saturday winning in a time of 18:34. Day is still undefeated this season over 5000m.
The fourth and final athlete nominated is Elle Cargould of North Oldham. Cargould placed 5th at the Adidas XC Challenge running 18:10.50.
