KYtrackXC.com was started in the spring of 2005 and has been pumping results and information into the MileSplit database ever since. The 2023 outdoor season will mark the 19th season of current results, not to mention the massive number of past results that have also been added over the years, going back to the early 1900s.
The plan is to highlight a meet or potentially an athlete from the past in Kentucky track history in a weekly series called Looking Back...
WEEK 1
In the first installment we are highlighting the Top 20 performances from New Balance Indoor Nationals and Nike Indoor Nationals which have been running since the 1990s identified as one or the other.
Top KY Girls Performers All-Time at New Balance & Nike Indoors
Check out below one of the biggest performances in Kentucky history which happened at the Nike Indoor Classic in March of 1999. Owensboro sprinter Casey Combest won the 60m Dash Indoor National Championship with a 6.57, breaking the national record. That US All-Time #1 record still stands today and was matched this past weekend by Issam Asinga of Florida.
