Male and Manual rank among the top rivals in the state of Kentucky for high school sports. That storied rivalry will carry into the triple jump pit this spring. Darian Clyburn of Male and Keon Farris of Manual were 1-2 at the class AAA outdoor state championship last May and reversed order this indoor season. Farris got the best of Clyburn at the UK High School Invitational by 6.25 inches. These two are in a league of their own with the next best jumper being over 3 feet behind their season bests. In the 2017 outdoor season, these two went head to head six times and they split those meetings. Check out the athlete comparisons HERE. Outside of Clyburn and Farris, Reese Robinson of Boyd County looks to take the class AA crown with the departure of the two seniors that beat him at the state meet. Fulton County's Andreous Smith had the 4th best mark coming into the season but we did not seen him compete this indoor season. The name to watch is Frederick Douglass athlete Christian Lewis who has the 4th best indoor mark and was ranked tops in the long jump indoor.
