On Saturday DeSales High School will host it's 16th Annual DeSales Cross Country Invitational to be held at McNeely Lake Park.
Over 1000 runners are entered in the meet and will compete throughout the day. The first race of the day starts at 9:45Am and the High School Varsity Girls start at 1:45PM and the Varsity Boys at 2:30PM.
In The Varsity Boys race Justin Wellum of Portland Christian, Justin Haire of Bishop Brossart and Taylor Sanders of North Oldham should compete for the individual title with Class A #1 Ranked Bishop Brossart and Class AA #1 Ranked North Oldham the favorites for the team title.
In the Varsity Girls race Charliann Garcia of Spencer Co should lead the way. Class AA #7 ranked Spencer Co is favored to win the girls title.
The following High Schools are scheduled to compete: Atherton, Bardstown, Bellevue, Beth Haven, Bishop Brossart, Bullitt Central, Bullitt East, Louisville Central, DeSales, Fern Creek, Fort Knox, Grayson County, Henry County, Holy Cross, Kentucky Country Day, Louisville Collegiate, Moore, North Bullitt, North Oldham, Pleasure Ridge Park, Portland Christian, Spencer Co,Walden and Whitefield.
