COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson cross country student-athletes John-Paul Williamson and Nikki Coffey are the Mid-South Conference Runners of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Williamson earns his second weekly award of the year while Coffey receives her first career award.
Williamson recorded a third-place individual finish on Saturday at the Berea (Ky.) College Invitational. His time of 26 minutes and 19 seconds was the second fastest collegiate time -- nine seconds back of the top collegiate harrier.
The senior helped the Blue Raider men's team finish sixth in the 11-team race.
The finish is Williamson's second top-10 this season in as many races.
Coffey finished fourth out of 93 runners in the women's race at the Berea Invitational. She posted a time of 19 minutes and 25 seconds over the 5,000-meter course.
The fourth-place is her best overall finish of her career while the 19:25 is one second off her personal best.
It marks the first time a member of the Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team has earned the weekly award since Sharon Ronoh did so back in 2012.
