Tonight at the Kentucky Dream Mile, there was an amazing finish in not just one of the races but both.
Manual frosh Alena Sapienza-Wright (duPont Manual) pulled off the win over the senior Maggie Allen (Sacred Heart) 5:01.95 to 5:01.97. Allen dove for the win at the line, but Sapienza-Wright stayed up to pull off the win.
Then in the Boys Race, one week after battling it out at Eastern Relays. Villa Madonna senior Eric Baugh and Paul Dunbar senior Kendall Muhammad with toe to toe going 4:11.89 to 4:11.91. Baugh pulled off the victory for the second week in a row. Those times move them into #4 and #5 All-Time in Kentucky history. Ben Young (Tates Creek) rolled a 4:14 for #9 All-Time.
