Question #3: Will Brossart Defend their title?
Bishop Brossart vs. St. Henry is no questions asked one of the biggest rivalries in Kentucky high school XC. St. Henry, the dominant force in Class A for most of the last decade, always with Brossart chasing them for second many times. Then in 2013 it happened finally, Brossart took down the giant. Last November they won the Class A State Team Championship. Now the tables are turned with St. Henry chasing Brossart.
These two squads have raced 7 times this season. St. Henry won the first three this season starting with the Ryle Invitational in August. But then starting on October 11th with the St. Henry Invitational, Brossart has won all the match-ups. They were the top Class A school at Lexington Catholic beating St. Henry 107-148. They won the Class A Region 4 Championship as well last week.
Taking all of this into account it shows Brossart has the momentum to this point of the season, but this rivalry brings the best out in these two.
