Top 12 Questions Going into the KY State XC Meet

Question #2: How Low Can They Go?

The question is not will St. Henry win Class A Girls, the question is how low can they go?  Taking a look at  the Lexington Catholic Invitational Small School Race shows St. Henry placed five runners in the Top 12 Class A runners alone.  In fact they had placing of 3, 5, 6, 8, & 12.  They have Samantha Hentz leading up front contending for a Top 3 finish.  They have Renee Svec & Holly Blades battling for the #2 spot along Libby Anneken and Elizabeth Hoffman, all who would be a great fit at #1 for most Class A schools in Kentucky.  Another thing of note, this squad went 1-5 at the regional in what is the strongest Class A region (ouch.)

The team that can mix it up best with them is Hancock County.  They have strength up front to match with Sydney Young and Emily Woodward leading.  In that same Lexington Catholic Invitational race they placed four in the Top 16 in Class A.  The upfront strength easily cements them as the favorite for the Runner-Up trophy in Class A.  They should even make St. Henry sweat a little.
