Girls
St. Henry, a dominant force in Class A every year is back at it again in Region 4. They have favorites Samantha Hentz and Renee Svec along with a whole slew of other girls that will compete for a Top 5 spot. Walton Verona, Bishop Brossart, and Beechwood will contend for the Runner-Up spot in the team battle.
Boys
Eric Baugh will take his first step on Saturday towards a XC State title in Region 4. He has rolled in all his races against his regional foes this season and Saturday should be the same. Bishop Brossart's Chris Loos has been coming on strong toward the end of the season, while St. Henry's Josh Hannon has been solid as a rock. All of this should make for fast times.
The team battle between Brossart and St. Henry has been back and forth all season. Brossart won at Lexington Catholic over St. Henry in the last big race. Whatever the result it should be close.

Girls
Defending State Champs Highlands will start their march to another state team title Saturday. The core of this team has been around for multiple years and they are back. Molly Mearns, Chloe Gastright, and Lauren Ossege should all find themselves in the top 10 in the region. Scott led by Alexis Flynn will try and make life difficult for Highlands.
The individual favorite is Michaela Reinhart. The sophomore should cruise through this race to focus on the Class AA State XC Meet as she chases Gabby Karas.
Boys
Highlands, #2 in Class AA will race in preparation as a full group, something they have not been able to do as much this season, with the return of Geoffrey Mearns. They have Class AA #1 Ethan Shuley up front to lead the team. Shuley should relax through this one and easily win. The Top 10 will be a mix of runners from Lexington Catholic, Scott, Covington Catholic, and the 2-5 of Highlands. The placing of the Top 10 finishers for these teams will be key to who finishes 2nd as a team.

Girls
The girls race in the Class AAA northern Kentucky region will have a good one up front with Campbell County's Jennah Flairty leading a group of Sophia Delisio (Simon Kenton) and Jensen Bales (Ryle.) Flairty is coming off a win at the NKC Championship.
The team battle is between Simon Kenton and Ryle up front. Simon Kenton has Delisio, Meredith Hiles, and Mckenzie Lachmann up front to score early, while Ryle is more of a pack team with Katelyn Nichols leading a 2-5 group that should be within 30 seconds of each other.
Boys
This region is all Cooper. Cooper will have the individual champion and the rest of the top four will follow behind. Zachary Stewart has been the lead runner for the team most of the season, but do not count out Brady Baker, 2011 Region Champ. Cooper will roll with Ryle chasing them. Ryle's boys are more of a pack team just like the girls with Justin Reed and Oscar Ramirez
