KYtrackXC.com: What made you decide to continue your career at Vassar?
JE: When I went to visit Vassar, everyone was very welcoming, the classes I sat in on were interesting, and the cross country and track teams seemed like a group of people that I would feel right at ease with for the next four years of my life.
KYtrackXC.com: What is going to be your strategy in the 800?
JE: With such overwhelmingly fast competition it's going to be important for me to run my own race. Hopefully this will allow us to put up some fast times and PR's across the board. As far as strategy goes: that just depends on how the race sets up. In any case, strategy or no strategy, this is definitely going to be an exciting race.
KYtrackXC.com: Give me your thoughts on the following possible situation. Two or three teams are tied at the last handoff in the 3200 Relay. What will be running through your mind as you receive the baton?
JE: Everyone goes to state with the intention to win. Regardless of whether or not we are part of this hypothetical two or three way tie I am going to simply run with the same mindset I've been running with all year and try to help my relay as much as possible.
