As the middle class when it comes to school population, it is fitting Class AA has the second meet on Friday and Saturday. The Tornados of Paducah Tilghman have dominated Class AA over the last few years, with the boys winning six state titles in a row and the girls seven in a row. Can another school step up and stop the Tilghman athletes? We will see. Here are the Event of the Day, Record With a Chance to Fall, and Team Title Contenders for Class AA Girls.
Event of the Day
The girls Pole Vault should be a fierce competition between three girls with a best this year of 9-00 from Madison Kuklinski (Elizabethtown) and two Lloyd Memorial teammates, Samantha Grant and Tawni Lockard. Sarah Ison (Russell) is also a contender with a best of 8-06 at the Red Devil Relays.

Record with a Chance to Fall
University of Louisville signee Chinwe Okoro (Russell) was the Class AA record holder in the Shot Put until last year when Paducah Tilghman/Murray State thrower Pam Bell surpassed it. Okoro has a chance to finish her high school career off by taking the Class AA record back.
Team Title Contenders
The Lady Tornados traditionally score big points from an individual or two and then load up in the relays. The same holds true this year as sophomore DeAudea Horne looks to take the 100m, 200m, and 400m Dashes. She has run the best times in the 200m and 400m in Class AA this season. Rockcastle County, led by Morgan Thacker, and Russell, led by the Okoro sisters (not only Chinwe, also Chika and Uzo), will try to give Tilghman a run for their money.
