Girls Race Recap:
Sacred Heart's Maggie Allen as expected cruised to the front along with Martha Layne Collins frosh Gabby Karas. They came through in around 70 for the 1st lap and then followed that with a 90 second lap to be at 2:30 for 800m. They ran side by side until the gun lap when Allen took control leaving Karas behind. Allen crossed the line to win her 2nd Dream Mile in a row with a time just under 5:00. Karas ended up 2nd in 5:04 with Bowling Green's Ciara Scott coming in 3rd at 5:09.
Boys Race Recap:
St. Xavier's William Mulloy received pressure from the start from Villa Madonna's Eric Baugh. They came through in 63 for the 1st lap, and split 800 at 2:05. With 300m to go, Baugh surged into the lead trying to put ground between him and Mulloy. With 150m to go, Mulloy fought back and cruised the last 100 in for the win. Mulloy unofficially was 4:12 with Baugh in 2nd at 4:14.
