GENEVA, Ohio – Reini Brickson and Ben Graham each earned All-American Honors Friday at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
Brickson earned her third Indoor All-American honor and fifth All-American honor of her career with a 15:10.64 to finish sixth in the women's 3,000 meter race walk finals. The time was a personal record for the senior, eclipsing her previous best by 22 seconds.
Jourdann Green and Amanda Bland also competed in the 3,000 meter race walk, with Green placing 11th with a time of 15:58.24 and Bland crossing the finish line in 16:17.19 to place 13th. Both times were personal records, with Green besting her time by two seconds and Bland beating hers by 15 seconds.
Graham took eighth place in the men's 3,000 meter race walk, posting a 14:41.10 to outdo his best time by 24 seconds.
"I'm very proud of all of our race walkers," said Head Coach Jamaine Gordon. "They had an incredible season and a great showing here and I'm very proud of our team."
Janice Brown competed in the women's long jump, finishing 28th with a jump of 4.09 meters (13 feet-five inches). With a jump of 6.96 meters (22 feet-10 inches), Carmetrick Ross was 14th in the men's long jump.
Lindsey Wilson women are currently tied for 19th with three points while the men are tied for 26th with one point.
