Girls Varsity Recap:

In one of the finest Tuesday night meets of the season, the Bullitt East ladies showed up and showed out. While using great packing strategy, the Bullitt East trio of sophomore Sierra Poppell, eighth-grader Julia Poole, and freshman Abby Reburn led the entire race, coming into the one-mile area at an approximate time of 6:05. Not far behind the trio of Bullitt East girls was eighth-grader Savannah Kingery from Elizabethtown, who came through the mile with an approximate time of 6:23. Following Savannah Kingery throughout the majority of the race was the duo of freshman Caroline Collins and senior Abby Shelton, both from Bullitt East, and freshman Kelsey Hughes from Nelson County. As the race progressed, the distance between the top three Bullitt East ladies grew and Sierra Poppell made a significant lead on the rest of the runners, finishing with a time of 20:45.28.
