-What was your most memorable race/event?

KYtrackXC.com 5K Showdown. Racing with the music going on was definitely fun, and running the 5k on a track was a great experience.

-Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

My teammate Marcus Terrell was probably my biggest competition. I was always working to beat him, especially during XC, and it was great having a few good runners like him on my team to push me.

-What was your greatest accomplishment?

Region 2AAA 3200 Champion

-If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

I would've definitely started running as a freshman, if not earlier. I did a little bit of track my sophomore year, and didn't join the XC team till my junior year. I've came a long way, but I can't help but think how much better I could've been if I ran for all 4 years.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Along with XC and track, I was also a member of the school's band, and managing time between the two was always difficult.

What will you miss the most?

I'm going to miss having the chance to compete more than anything.

What advice you would give to younger athletes?

Never give anything less than your best when you run.

What influence has your coaches had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

Coach Jackson has had a huge influence on my performance throughout my career. He took someone who could hardly run a mile and turned him into someone able to compete at the state level.

What are your plans for college or joining the workforce next year?

I'm going to UK in the fall on an AFROTC scholarship, and majoring in Mech. Engineering.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

I'd like to say thanks to North Hardin's coaching staff, and thanks to my teammates for pushing me during both practice and races.
