Holy Cross Senior closed out his high school career with a 4:12.06 One Mile at the Adidas Grand Prix in New York. The invite only event saw Ben Saarel win in 4:02.72. Thomson had planned to run at New Balance Outdoor later this summer but instead will prepare for this coming XC season at NC State University.
Last week at the Kentucky State Track Meet, Thomson broke the Overall Kentucky State Record in the 1600m (4:09.99) and 3200m (9:07.17.) He has dominated distance running in the state of Kentucky over the last four years and leaves as one of the greatest runners in the history of the state.
