2012 Class AA State XC Champion Nicholas Laureano has committed to run at the University of Notre Dame next year. Laureano was also the Class AA State Champion at 1600m last spring as well. He has a best of 4:18.36 for the One Mile run last year at the Music City Distance Carnival in Nashville. He ran a PR of 15:23.05 for 5000 Meters this past fall at the Trinity Invitational in Louisville.
He will be joining for Ryle runner Gabby Gonzales on the Irish roster next year. He is the 2nd athlete from Lexington Catholic to commit to a D1 college this season, joining Andrew Vollet who signed with Miami University (OH.)

Owensboro senior Zac Garrard has committed to Gonzaga University in Washington. He was third in the 1600m in 2011 at the Kentucky State Track Meet. He ran a PR of 16:19 this past fall in XC at the Trinity Invitational. He placed 25th overall in Class AAA at the Kentucky State XC Meet in November.
