About Our Team
Transylvania University competes in cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field at the NCAA Division III level, in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, and in the Great Lakes Region.
Heidi Pinkerton is entering her third year as head track & field and cross country coach at Transy. Jakob Hester, entering his second year as assistant cross country and track & field coach at Transy, works primarily with the sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers.
Track & Field had its inaugural season in 2009. A new state-of-the-art sports facility, including a new track, is scheduled to be completed for the Spring 2014 track & field season!
