Team Announcements
This season our roster has again topped 50 athletes. We are looking forward to a great outdoor season that starts at home on Thursday March 18th. The Panthers will be competing in 4 home meets this season (the meet on March 18th being the 1st) on March 18th, April 20th, May 7th, and May 18th. About Our Team
In the 2009 season we had 2 individuals and 1 relay team qualify for the State Meet in Class A. We also had 3 Academic All-State and 1 Honorable Mention Academic All-State.
In the 2010 season we had 12 athletes qualify for state in 21 events. 7 of those athletes will be returning for the 2011 season. We also had 2 Second Team All-State Athletes and 1 Honorable Mention Academic All-State. Freshman Nora Fremin took 4th place in the 100 meter hurdles and looks to improve on that result during her sophomore season. HM Academic All-State nominee, Junior Brittany Arvin, looks to make it to the state meet for the 3rd year in a row.
In 2011 the Panthers again had a great showing at the Class A State Meet in Louisville with 11 athletes representing Carroll County. We finished the day with a 2nd place finish by Sophmore Nora Fremin in the 100 Meter Hurdles. Nora, Brody Newby, and Taylor Byrd also earned Academic All-State Honors.
Look for the Panthers to again tear up the track in 2012. Home Meets on Tuesday March 13th, Tuesday March 27th, and Friday April 20th.
