Team Announcements

I just wanted to say how proud i am of both teams today. Kate Bomar and Krisston Senters ran a tremendous race, finishing second and third. Bre Boards did an amazing job as well. Our girls team won the school's first ever regional title. Way to go girls...we knew you could do it. Guys. We were able to put on a gutsy performance and pull out a fourth place finish as a team. Everyone knew that...

Lady Patriots had a great showing at the regional meet! This is about the deepest field of runners I have ever seen for the Lady Pats in Track & Field, we always had a well rounded distance program, but never had the likes of standout sprinters like Ms. Boards. Boards and several other Lady Patriots will be attending the State Meet next Saturday in Louisville. Congrats Ladies!

When things get tough, when the finishes seem farther than ever and the wins don't tally up, running is far from enjoyable, more times than none many runners decide to call it quits... but Jordan Holder didn't quit, from the seventh grade till now Jordan joins the likes of all the rich history of the ACS Track and Field program, and finished his high school athletic career this Saturday at the...

The Lady Pats where every bit of stunning in todays SKY Conference Championships, from the dominating sprints, to the distance events. The field was loaded with primed performances as the Lady Pats pulled in an easy free flowing SKY Championship title. THE LADIES IN RED DANCED ALL OVER THE COMPETITION!

About Our Team

ACS has a very rich Track and Cross Country history, probably the richest in Region 2 by a long shot.

The primary establishment of these programs started at the heart of Coach Rick Roberts, and Coaches Gaye and Franklin Foster in the 80's. As they poured in there time, results where immediately given, as hundreds of kids pursued the program throughout the years. From the early greats of Adam Cross, the soft spoken gutsy Jason Green, the wild man high tops Roy Jones, and the cowboy boots TransAM Brian Berry, from the amazing hoopster Andi Johnson to the ever loved chew through nails Tabitha Morris, and the silly lanky carefree Sherri Mattox, and pistol arm Hannah Roberts.... oh and there was that one guy Chris Young, that told his grandparents, that even if he couldn't get a ride home he was going to run, he defied them, and he ran home, on many many occasions. All those athletes, made sacrifices to be part of something that has become the richest program in ACS school history, as there has been several first and second team all-state runners, and the 5 state titles that Chris Young brought home to us.

The history is rich and it will proceed on... heres to the PATRIOTS!!

Well..we did it. We did what we set out to do. But now that its over...i would give ANYTHING to do it all again. I've never had such great friendships and memories with a group of ppl and i'll never forget how hard we fought to get to where we were. I love every single one of you and couldnt be more honored to have run with you all. Keep working...and you can ALWAYS count on me.

Ethan also did also and got his best time ever in the 5K. Good job everyone and i'm glad I got to share this experience withyou.

Haha...I dont count as alumni anymore? Thanks Chris. Anyway I noticed a few of the school records are a little out of date. Off the top of my head Brett Oliver broke Jeremy's old high jump record back in '03...He jumped 6'6 several times that season, and may have even hit 6'8. I'll have to check the archived results to verify that last jump though.
