Meet Information
When: Saturday April 14, 2018
Time: Coaches meeting begins at 9:30am
Track and Field events will begin at 10:00am
A rolling schedule will be followed
A thirty-minute lunch break will take place after completion of 1600m
Events/
Scoring: Standard track and field events scored for 8 places: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Facility: Bardstown High School, Tom Williams track and field complex
Eight lane, rubberized, 400-meter track. Stadium seating, separate pits for TJ and LJ, a large High Jump area, separate Shot and Discus sites, and a Pole Vault pit.
There is ample parking and room for tents.
Concessions and t-shirts will be sold on-site. A hospitality room will be available to coaches. A certified trainer and water stations will be made available the day of the meet.
Entries: Entries are limited to two individuals per event and one team per relay. Field event athletes will have 3 jumps/throws with the top 9 performers getting 3 additional jumps/throws in the finals. We will have 60-minute open pit times designated for field events. Each athlete is responsible to report to the event official and complete his or her jumps/throws during that period. We will seed the events based on information provided by coaches. Any and all entries submitted past the deadline will result in your athlete being given a NT or ND. Performance list will be sent out after the deadline only, and will not change after the deadline.
Awards: Medals will be awarded for the top 8 individual places in each event. The top two boys and girls teams from each class (A, AA, AAA) will receive trophies as well as the overall meet champion for both boys and girls. The meet is open to all classes and is by invitation only. Awards for outstanding performance and individual points leader will also be given.
Fees: $75 per team. ($150 for boys and girls combined). Make checks payable to Danville High School Track, c/o Chris Verhoven, 203 E.Lexington Ave., Danville, KY 40422. Fees can be paid in advance or on the day of the meet with a $10 service fee for late payment. Submitting an entry will confirm you are attending the meet and be subject to paying the team fees regardless of your decision to attend.
All Entries must be submitted via kymilesplit. Follow the link to our meet on the calender tab to enter/edit your entries. On the day of the meet, Leslie Smith lesliesmith@att.net will be handling any issues with entries, etc. **Entry deadline is Wednesday April 11, 2018 by 5:00 a.m.
Patty Rouse will be the meet starter and referee. Shawn Boggs and Leslie Smith will be handling HyTek/Finish Lynx timing.
