WEST FELICIANA'S TRISTEN HARRIS COMPETES IN THE NIKE INDOOR NATIONALS.

Here are the finalists for MileSplit LA Girls Performer of the Week! Congratulations to the finalists. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. 

Menard's A'Shyria Burns won the 100m at the Mansfield Wolverines Invitational with a time of 11.98. It's the third fastest 100m time in the state this season. Burns also won the long jump with an 18-5.25. In the 100m hurdles and triple, Burns finished second to Huntington's Demetria Harris.

Jonesboro Hodge's Ciara Gray. Gray swept the horizontal jumps at the Airline Viking Relays. Gray won both the long jump (16-9) and triple jump (37-5). Also, she came close to sweeping the hurdle events. She won the 300m hurdles (48.13) and finished second in the 100m hurdles (16.35).

Quitman's Kaleigh King was the queen of the hurdles at the Many Raising Cane's Small School Track Classic. King won both the 100m hurdles (17.96) and 300m hurdles (53.22). The freshman also led Quitman to the team title. 

Huntington's Demetria Harris had a busy Week No. 2. On  Wednesday she scored 30 points at the Mansfield Wolverines Relays. She won the triple jump (37-5.5) and the 100m hurdles (14.44). She also finished second in the long jump 17-7.5.

   She followed that up with an impressive performance at the Yellow Jacket Relays on Saturday leaving the meet with four gold medals. She won the 100m (12.28) and triple jump (35-10) and ran a leg on both of the Lady Raiders winning sprint relays. The 4x100m won with a time of 49.19. The 4x200m team won with a time of 1:43.33. 

West Feliciana's Tristen Harris took her show on the road finishing second at the Nike Indoor Nationals in New York. She finished second in the long jump with a jump of 20-4.25. Sydnee Burr of Katy, Texas won the event with a jump of 20-8.

West Monroe's Charlotte Switzer scored 30 points at Neville's Van Leigh Relays. She won the high jump (5-0) and the 400m (1:01). She also finished second in the long jump (15-6). 

Scotlandville's Makeriah Harris finished our her final high school indoor national championship with a time of 8.4 in the 60m hurdles at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in Boston. The time was good enough for the podium as she finished third. She returned to the podium at the conclusion of the 4x400m with her teammates as the Run Fast squad finished fifth in the nation.
