This past weekend, Rockcastle County's Victoria Dotson made the trip up to Huntington West Virginia for the Marshall University High School Invitational. The fast section of the 800m run featured some top talent from the area including quite a few from Kentucky. Mackenzie Bell from Sacred Heart moved up from her normal 400m distance, which she leads the state in (57.37), as well as Ashlyn Liddle and Ciara O'Shea, two of the top competitors in the state over just about any distance race you'll see them in.
Dotson, the Senior from Rockcastle County, finished runner up in the Class 2A Outdoor State Meet to E-Town's Amirr Evans in 2019. This year, however, she's off to a blazing fast start showing off for her future coach and teammates at Marshall University as a 2020 commit to the Thundering Herd.
