Class A Wins State Top Performer Polls


Over 20,000 votes were cast for the top performers of the Kentucky State Track & Field Meet. Class A reigned supreme in the final poll of the 2017 track & field season.


Ann Taylor of Murray High School won the girls title after she claimed a state championship in the 400 meter dash, state runner up in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash, AND part of the state championship 4x100 meter relay for Murray. To top it all off, her team won the title for the second year in a row.

Ann had an incredible season as she was UNDEFEATED in the 400 meter dash. She set PRs in the 100M, 200M, and 400M this season as she took home the region title in all three events.

Seth Evers of Bellvue had a similarly dominant season. Seth was the state champion in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash, while also helping his team to an 8th place finish in the 4x200 meter relay. His 20 individual points helped his team to a top 10 team finish in 9th place with 29 points.

Seth was UNDEFEATED this season in the 200 meter dash. He posted PRs in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and 400 meter dash this season.
