Assumption senior Bailey Davis has committed to run at the University of Louisville next season. The 2012 Class AAA Kentucky State Cross Country Champion has been one of the best statewide over the last three years.
She has helped lead Assumption to consecutive Nike Cross Southeast Regional titles and three Class AAA Kentucky State titles since her first season of XC as a sophomore. She won the 2012 Class AAA 1600m Run title at the Kentucky State Track Meet.
Her One Mile Run PR of 5:00.47 ranks 10th All-Time in the state of Kentucky when converted over to 1600 meters. Her indoor One Mile PR of 5:05.73 ranks 6th All-Time. These times were all from her sophomore year as injuries forced her to miss her entire junior track season.
She is the 2nd Assumption runner to commit to run next year joining Katherine Receveur (Miami University OH.)
Davis on why she chose the University of Louisville:
I decided to go to the University of Louisville next year! I had a great time on my visit, and the girls reminded me of my team now, they are all so close, I definitely felt like I was in the right place. The coaches are awesome and will help me improve over the next four years.
