DCA Battlefield Blitz 2026

Join us for one of Kentucky's most unique and challenging cross-country experiences, the DCA Battlefield Blitz.

Held on the rolling, scenic grounds of Perryville Battlefield, this course offers a throwback to true cross country: hills, grit, and wide-open views. Athletes will race along the same historic landscape that shaped one of Kentucky's most iconic sites. The terrain is tough, but the experience is unforgettable.

This meet is an opportunity to build strength, confidence, and team pride early in the season. Whether you're racing for a record or building toward your postseason peak, the Blitz is the perfect proving ground.

Course Distances :

5k Varsity (HS)

3k Middle School

2k Elementary (2 levels: K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade)

Meet Timing: Moncer Timing by Jason Moncer

Awards: Cannonball Trophies will be given to the top 2 teams in each category.  Custom dogtags will be presented to the top 20 individuals in each race.  

Fees:

• $75 per varsity team (boys and girls separate); $15 per individual* 
• $60 per middle school team (boys and girls separate); $12 per individual*
• $50 per elementary team (boys and girls separate); $10 per individual*
• *5 or more individuals qualify for team pricing
  
  

Team Special Maximum $250 if multiple levels are attending.

To compete in this event, athletes must race for the school which they attend (per KHSAA guidelines).

Entries: Entries made through MileSplit will be accepted through Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 at 11pm

Coaches Meeting: 8:30am at the Start Line

Admission: Parking will cost $7 per car
