Meet Information
Logan County had the honor of hosting the 2025 Region 1 Super Regionals on an all new, one of a kind course. This year, we have done even more work to our already incredible course and created what we believe to be one of the fastest courses in the country! Less than 10ft of elevation change across all courses!
For 2026, up first is the Logan County 5k relays! Middle School and Varsity races will feature a 2,500 meter course through the woods, over multiple bridges / creeks and allowing spectators to see their athletes over half the race just from the parking / starting area! The Elementary athletes will each cover a 1k course that traverses field, mature woods and a beautiful creek with spectators being able to see their athletes for 80% of their race!
Race Setup:
All 6 races are a 2-Person relay platform with ironman options for athletes who want to run the full 5,000 meters or 2,000 meters solo. Middle School and Varsity athletes will both race 2,500 meters (exactly 1/2 of 5km distance) and tag the hand of their partner to run the 2nd 2,500 meters, brining the total race distance to 5km. For example: If Jenny and Jamie each run 8:30 and 8:40 for 2,500m, they will have run a team 5km time of 17:10. Same template for elementary runners, except 2,000m total. Teams are allowed UNLIMITED entries and team scores for the night will be combined with the top 2 relay times from each team in ALL 6 RACES! Meaning, if Logan County Scores 2nd and 3rd in all 6 events as their top 2 scores, they score 30 points on the night. Your elementary, middle and high schoolers of both genders are all competing to combine 1 score for an overall boys team champion and girls team champion! Tie breakers win by least overall time added up.
Our facilities now feature a brand new state of the art 30,000 sq ft indoor facility, new bathrooms / changing rooms, updated parking, new concession area and a course that features over 3.5 miles of NEW race course through the woods over new bridges, creeks and beautiful terrain! Your athletes will have plenty of room to explore in their warm up and cool down for that extra mileage. When registering, you can give an estimated seed time and use the anchor leg runner as the name for your team if needed.
We hope this race encourages athletes with a shorter than normal time trial to launch their season with a confidence booster - All while building overall team morale to score altogether in a one of a kind event!
Rolling Schedule: (Races may start before or after designated start times, with first race starting promptly @ 5:00pm CST)
