Prepare yourself for the sound of bagpipes! Glasgow Cross Country is excited to invite you to our inaugural Scottie Highlander Classic on Saturday, August 29th. The event will take place at the TJ Samson Community Hospital McKinley Field located at 1174 Glenview Drive, Glasgow, KY. We will be offering races for High School, Middle School, and Elementary Grades 3-5. The challenging course is extremely spectator friendly with a variety of terrain, consisting of long fast flats, hills and wooded areas. Tent city will be located in the fields near the start/finish line area. We hope that you will consider our invitational in planning your 2026 cross country schedule.

Make checks payable to "Glasgow Cross Country." Your amount due is based on the numbers of entries when registration closes, not on how many runners you bring to the meet.
Parking
On-site parking is limited. Buses can drop off athletes/tents on Gleview Drive near the starting line grass parking lot. Overflow parking will be available at Highland Elementary School, 164 Scottie Drive, Glasgow KY 42141, and further down by the Glasgow High School stadium. There is a (steep) path through the woods from Highland Elementary with a 1/2 mile walk to the finish line area. Buses will also be shuttling spectators from Highland Elementary to the starting line area. (Parking at the Shanti Niketan Hospice House is not permitted).
Parking fee: $5 per car, buses free

From the Cumberland Parkway east bound, take Exit 15 and turn left onto the Veterans Outer Loop. At the first stoplight, turn left on Columbia Avenue. At the next stoplight, turn right on Scottie Drive. Parking is available at Highland Elementary (last school on the left). For buses dropping off teams, continue on to the stop sign and take a left on Glenview Drive. McKinley Field will be on the left just past the woods.

McKinley Field will be on the left just past the woods.

Course information:
5k is outside perimeter loop clockwise, then interior loop counterclockwise after coming out of the pond loop.
3k is outside perimeter loop including the pond loop, continuing out of the woods to the finish line (blue)
2k is outside perimeter loop until (green) path diverts to the top of the hill and down to the finish.
