Our JCPS Elementary meets are only open to JCPS schools. Only those schools approved by Dr. Brooks and Leslie will compete with us.

Field Events will be open pits for 60-90 minutes and athletes will have that time to complete three attempts.

JCPS FIELD EVENT STANDARDS:

Girls/Boys TurboJav: 300 gram implement

Girls Shot Put: 6 lb implement (standard)

Boys Shot Put: 4 kg implement (standard)

We will have Open 100M & Open 800M races just like JCPS Elementary City Championships

JCPS City Championship Awards:

Top 3 teams in each division receive trophies

Top 3 individuals and relays receive medals

K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th Grade Overall MVP

JCPS Elementary City Championship Scoring will be based on a 10 point system

1st place = 10pts

2nd place = 8pts

3rd place = 6pts

4th place = 5pts

5th place = 4pts

6th place = 3pts

7th place = 2pts

8th place = 1pt

  • Same scoring for relays.

  • Highest score wins.

  • Tie in Shot Put, Turbo Jav,  Long Jump and broken by 2nd best jump.

JCPS Championship Divisions will be K-1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grade, and 4th-5th Grade

During the JCPS Championships, teams will be limited to 3 entries per event (Only 2 may score), per division, and one relay team per division. Relays will be defined by the oldest member unless you identify underclassmen specifically running in a higher grade level.

Requirement to compete in Championships: Teams pay the full entry fee and compete in 1 JCPS meets at any location.
