Meet Information
Frankfort High School is excited to host you for the regional cross country meet on
Saturday, October 26 at the Archives course in Frankfort, Kentucky. We will do our best to
make this the most successful race that we can. Please carefully read the following information
to help us run the most successful meet possible.

Location, Parking, and Admission
The Course is located at the Kentucky Library and Archives at 300 Coffeetree Road in
Frankfort, Kentucky.
Directions: I-64 from the east, take Exit 58 Route 60, turn right toward Frankfort, go 1 mile, turn
left on Route 676. Follow signs to the Vietnam Memorial.
I-64 from the west, Exit 53B Route 127 toward Frankfort, Go one mile, turn right on Route 676,
follow signs to Vietnam Memorial.
When fans enter, they will find people taking admission through gofan. No cash will be
accepted at the gate. They can also purchase tickets ahead of time at the following link.

Cost of admission is $8.
Please advise spectators to park in the grass lot in front of the State Library and Archives unless
they are told that lot is full. We would like to keep the road free from vehicles as this causes
major issues with traffic. The lost by the Vietnam Memorial is reserved for those with
handicapped tags ONLY! Please see the Site Map and share it with your parents and families. Please also see the detailed Coaches and Teams Parking Map.
The State Library and Archives is the site of the Vietnam War Memorial to Kentucky soldiers
who died in Vietnam. We ask your athletes and spectators to respect that memorial and
keeping them out of the State Library and Archives building. We will have Porta-toilets available
for use.
Course Map and Tents
Here is a PDF of the Course Map. Tents will be placed across the small roadway from the
starting line. Please remind your spectators to stay off the marked areas of the course.

STATE MEET QUALIFIERS
State qualifiers will be released by the KHSAA office on the
Sunday following the conclusion of all regional events. State qualifiers, team or individual, will
receive State Championship instructions prior to the event. The State qualifying process will be:
One (1) full team enters the Regional Meet, one (1) team advances.
Two to three (2-3) full teams enter the Regional Meet, two (2) teams advance.
Four to five (4-5) full teams enter the Regional Meet, three (3) teams advance.
Six to seven (6-7) full teams enter the Regional Meet, four (4) teams advance.
Eight (8) to 10 full teams enter the Regional Meet, five (5) teams advance.
11 or more full teams enter the Regional Meet, six (6) teams advance.
After the teams qualifying for State are determined, the top five (5) individuals from teams NOT
advancing to State will qualify for the State Meet as individuals.
Results and qualifiers will be sent to the KHSAA. You will have to do nothing to do following the
regional except get your athletes ready for the state meet.
