Meet Information
The Terry Reed Track Classic has returned this year and will be hosted at Barren County High School on Saturday, May 11th. Barren County High School has an 8-lane 400 meter rubber track, with a rubber area for high jump, as well as rubber runways for the pole vault and sand pit. The shot and discus cage are an extremely brief walk to the other end of the stadium, located at the practice football field.
Admission for spectators: $5/person
Gate will open at 8:30 AM CST. Athletes will be provided a 45-minute window for warm-ups on the track. Once the first call is made for field events, the track will be closed. The field will remain open throughout the meet for the following groups ONLY - coaches, volunteers, officials, and athletes warming up for an event. All other individuals (including athletes not actively competing) will be expected to remain in the stands.
Start time for the meet will be 10:00 AM CST. A brief coaches meeting will be held prior at 9:45 AM, with first calls made for specific field events and the girls 4x800 meter relay on the track at the conclusion of the meeting. Once the meet begins, events will be contested on a rolling schedule.
There is ample parking for buses and spectators on the Barren County campus. A request is made that teams avoid bringing tents. Athletes and spectators will enter the event at the Chapatcha Gaunce Athletic Complex. Buses can park in the student parking lot, located adjacent to the stadium (next to the softball field).
Entries: Teams are limited to three individuals per event and one team per relay. Once the respective competitions begin, field event athletes will have 3 jumps/throws in the contest. Each athlete is responsible for checking in to the event official on time and complete his or her jumps/throws within a 60-minute designated window.
We will also have unified events available at this meet! This includes the 2x50, 2x200, 4x100 Relay, Shot Put, and Long Jump. We encourage you to bring any unified athletes you may have on your team so they can compete.
Standard scoring will be adhered through the top 8 places in each event.
Fees: $60 per team ($120 for boys and girls combined) / $10 per individual

Submitting an entry will confirm you are attending the meet and be subject to paying the team fees, regardless of your decision to attend. The only exception is a meet cancellation in regards to unforeseen circumstances, and in that instance any and all entry fees will be returned to the attending school.
Food trucks will be available on site to purchase food and drink items throughout the event.
